Biography

Dr. Christopher Wilks, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and Marketing within the College of Business. Dr. Wilks holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fayetteville State University, an MBA, and a Master of Organizational Leadership from the University of Saint Francis. He has also obtained a Doctor of Business Administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio, where his dissertation was focused on the Impact of the Collegiate Student Binary Function as Consumer and Product at Private Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). He is also currently working on completing a Master of Science in Accounting. Before entering into the classroom, Dr. Wilks had a remarkable career spanning over 23 years. He boasts extensive management experience across various industries, including healthcare, banking, higher education, retail, entertainment, and transportation. What sets Dr. Wilks apart is the captivating period spent working in international accounting for over 4 years for one of the top 10 banks globally, which also ranked among the top 3 banking institutions within the United States. Dedicated to imparting knowledge and expertise, Dr. Wilks is genuinely passionate about guiding and empowering students on their learning journey. In addition to teaching within the Department of Management and Marketing, Dr. Wilks also is the faculty advisor for the Xi Omicron Chapter of Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business.
