BALTIMORE — Coppin State University invites students, faculty, staff and community members to participate in its March to the Polls on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, encouraging civic engagement and participation in the midterm election.

Participants will gather at the Fanny Jackson Coppin Statue at 11 a.m. President Anthony L. Jenkins will offer welcoming remarks before the group walks to Robert W. Coleman Elementary School.

The event supports Coppin’s Student Experience Success Plan, which provides opportunities for civic engagement through voter education, early voting outreach and collaboration among campus offices and organizations.

“March to the Polls is an opportunity for our campus community to come together and put civic engagement into action,” said Loretta Campbell, Director of Student Experience. “We encourage students to join us, bring a fellow Eagle and help demonstrate the power of student participation in the democratic process.”

“Students have a voice, and voting is one way we can use it to shape our future,” said Trinia Holt, president of Coppin’s Student Government Association. “Our participation matters.”

As Baltimore’s hometown university and an anchor institution in West Baltimore, Coppin encourages students to stay informed and take an active role in decisions affecting their communities.
