President Jenkins Tours Construction of Coppin's New Residence Hall
BALTIMORE — President Anthony L. Jenkins recently toured the construction site of Coppin State University's new residence hall, receiving an update on the significant progress being made toward the facility's completion.
Joined by members of the University's Capital Projects team and construction partners, President Jenkins visited multiple areas of the building to review construction milestones, discuss the project timeline, and see firsthand how the residence hall is taking shape.
Scheduled to open in January 2027, the new residence hall will provide modern living spaces designed to enhance the student experience while supporting Coppin's continued enrollment growth and commitment to student success. The facility represents one of the University's most significant investments in campus infrastructure in recent years and reflects Coppin's ongoing focus on creating an environment where students can learn, live, and thrive.
"This project represents much more than a new building," said President Jenkins. "It reflects our commitment to providing students with an exceptional residential experience and investing in the future of Coppin State University. Every milestone brings us one step closer to welcoming students into a residence hall that will serve generations of Eagles."
Construction continues to progress on schedule, with crews completing both interior and exterior work as the University prepares for the building's opening next year.
