Biography

Jr-Rong Huang earned her M.S. in Education from Johns Hopkins University in 2023, specializing in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). She also holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Soochow University and is a certified English teacher in both Maryland and Taiwan.

She previously taught English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and basic computer skills at Carroll Community College, helping adult learners build language proficiency and digital literacy. She also served as Vice President of Print and Digital at Soul Stori LLC, where she published a children’s book and four children’s activity workbooks, advocating for creative and engaging learning materials. In addition, she worked as a Project Assistant at the nonprofit Arts Every Day, where she contributed to instructional design by developing, uploading, and organizing arts-integrated educational resources for online learning platforms.

Her combined expertise in language education, instructional design, and educational technology enables her to support faculty and students in leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning. She is passionate about helping educators integrate technology in creative, practical ways to inspire student success.
