Introduction

Nonprofit organizations are at the forefront of social change. Students aspiring to become leaders in the independent sector will need to have an array of competencies and skills. The Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership offers students an array of courses that will help to prepare for a future career in the third sector and/or future graduate study.

You can also minor in Nonprofit Management and Youth Development.

Certificate Requirements

To earn the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership, students must complete 12 credit hours.

Students electing a certificate must have the approval of the department and complete all certificate courses with a grade of “C” or higher. Courses utilized to fulfill certificate requirements cannot concurrently be used to fulfill requirements of the Minor, Major, or the GER program.
