We welcome the entire campus community, and alumni, to join us as we embrace the pride and tradition that bind us together – past, present, and future.
Convocation is a ceremony held, at the beginning of each fall semester, to commemorate the start of the academic year and welcome all incoming students to Coppin State University. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni will come together as a community to celebrate our newest Eagles and congratulate our seniors on their persistence toward graduation.

New Student Convocation Instructions
First-Year Students (Class of 2030)
Check-In Time: 8:00 a.m.
Meeting Location: Library Quad
Join your classmates at the Library Quad for the official Class of 2030 photo. Following the photo, students will participate in a procession through campus to the Physical Education Complex (PEC).
Procession Begins: 9:00 a.m.
Important: All students must present their student ID at check-in on the Library Quad.
Faculty
Meet Time: 8:15 a.m.
Meeting Location: PEC Field
Faculty members are invited to gather on the PEC Field to welcome the Class of 2030 as they arrive with the student procession from the Library Quad.
Please arrive by 8:15 a.m. to be in place before the procession reaches the PEC.
