Biography

Dr. Glynis M. Barber is a tenured professor in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education for the Department of Teaching and Learning at Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland where she has served in various leadership positions. Dr. Barber serves on the Mayor’s Office of Children & Family Success Baltimore Children’s Cabinet Literacy Workgroup and the International Literacy Association’s Administrator Task Force. Her research interests include equity in education, quality management, the school to prison pipeline, and scientifically based reading instruction (SBRR).
