MEDIA ADVISORY: Coppin State University to Host 126th Commencement Ceremony on May 22, 2026
BALTIMORE – Coppin State University will celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2026 during its 126th Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 22, 2026. U.S. Senator Angela Alsobrooks will deliver the keynote address as graduates, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters gather to honor this year’s graduating class.
Graduates will participate in the university’s traditional commencement walk, beginning at the Parlett L. Moore Library quad, passing the statue of Fanny Jackson Coppin, and concluding at the Physical Education Complex Soccer Field for the ceremony.
Class of 2026 Highlights:
More than 300 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees will be conferred
Members of the Class of 1976 will be recognized as Golden Graduates during commencement weekend
Graduates represent a wide range of disciplines across health sciences, education, business, STEM, liberal arts, and criminal justice.
