Coppin State University Invites Future Eagles to Take Flight at Fall Open House November 6

Prospective students and families invited to explore academic programs, experience campus life and discover their future at Baltimore's Hometown University

BALTIMORE — Your future is cleared for takeoff! Coppin State University invites prospective students and their families to Take Flight Day: Fall Open House on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hosted by the Office of Admissions, the free event offers future Eagles an opportunity to explore academic programs, experience campus life and discover the opportunities awaiting them at Baltimore's Hometown University.

Held on Coppin's campus at 2500 West North Avenue, Take Flight Day will help prospective students chart their path to higher education while learning about the University's academic offerings, student support services and vibrant campus community.

“Choosing a university is one of the most important decisions a student will make, and we want every future Eagle to experience firsthand what makes Coppin State University special,” said Jinawa McNeil, Director of Admissions. “Take Flight Day is an opportunity for students and their families to explore our campus, connect with our community and discover how Coppin can help them turn their academic and career aspirations into reality.”

The open house comes as Coppin celebrates historic enrollment growth. This fall, the University welcomed 3,631 students, representing a 30.1% increase over the previous year and the highest percentage enrollment growth among University System of Maryland institutions. Since fall 2022, Coppin's enrollment has increased by 81%, reflecting growing interest in the University's academic programs and student experience.

As Baltimore's Hometown University, Coppin continues to expand educational opportunities while providing an affordable, student-centered environment that prepares graduates for meaningful careers and leadership.
