Coppin State University Elects New Student Leaders for 2026–2027 Academic Year
New SGA Executive Board, Class Officers, and Royal Court Representatives to Lead Eagle Nation
BALTIMORE — Coppin State University has announced the results of the 2026–2027 Student Government Association (SGA) and Class Officer elections, introducing a new group of student leaders who will help shape campus life, advocate for students, and represent Eagle Nation during the upcoming academic year.
The newly elected leaders reflect Coppin's continued commitment to student engagement, leadership development, and shared governance. University officials say the student leaders will play a critical role in advancing student initiatives, strengthening campus culture, and helping foster a connected and vibrant university community.
"These students represent the energy, leadership, and promise of Coppin State University," said Anthony L. Jenkins, president of Coppin State University. "Student leadership is an essential part of the Coppin experience, and we are proud to see these emerging leaders step forward to serve their peers, strengthen campus life, and continue building a culture of excellence across our university community."
The 2026–2027 Student Government Association Executive Board includes:
President: Trinia Holt
Vice President: Vernon Dargan, Jr.
Secretary: Naomi Archil
Business Manager: Nathy Lincoln-Johnson
Chief Justice: Harmony Dory
The newly elected Class of 2029 officers include:
President: Christal Simmons
Senator: Shanique Hill
Business Manager: Brooklin Cunningham
Coppin also announced the students selected to serve as Mister and Miss Coppin and class royal court representatives for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Representing the university as Mister and Miss Coppin are:

Danielle Stafford, Miss Coppin
Class royal court representatives include:
Mister and Miss Senior: Ernesto Mauricio and Taisha Saint-Simon
Mister and Miss Junior: Stone Green and Sanaa Bowman
Mister and Miss Sophomore: Kevin Looney III and Dynisti Rowe-McMillan
University leaders say the results reflect strong student participation and Coppin’s continued commitment to leadership development. The newly elected and selected leaders will serve as university ambassadors while supporting student programming, advocacy, campus traditions, and engagement throughout the year.
