Dr. Mamadou I. Wade received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Howard University, Washington, DC, USA, a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Alabama, USA, a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Engineering from Mercer University, Macon, Georgia, USA, and a graduate certification in Cybersecurity from Howard University, Washington, DC, USA. He also worked on a B.S. in Computer Science at Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia, with a few classes left to complete the degree.
Dr. Wade is currently an Assistant Professor and Cybersecurity Engineering Program Coordinator in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Coppin State University, Baltimore, Maryland. Before joining Coppin State University in Fall 2024, Dr. Wade was a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland (UMD), College Park, from Fall 2022 through Summer 2024. Prior to UMD, Dr. Wade was an Assistant Professor and Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Howard University, where he taught 11 courses, including undergraduate and graduate-level courses, from Fall 2017 to Spring 2022. Before teaching at Howard University, Dr. Wade was a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tuskegee University, where he taught nine courses, including undergraduate and graduate-level courses, from Fall 2009 through Spring 2014.
Dr. Wade's teaching experience includes approximately 26 different courses in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics. Dr. Wade has published numerous papers in international journals and conferences on Cryptography, Communications, and Signal Processing, as well as on Telescope-Coronagraph Design for exoplanet detection.
