Biography

Dr. Ebuwei holds a doctorate in business administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus, a master's in public health, and a graduate certificate in emergency preparedness from New York Medical College. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in health information management from Coppin State University and the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Dr. Ebuwei is a tenured Assistant Professor and has served previously as the Interim Chair of the Health Information Management Department. She has co-published two peer-reviewed articles and authored one solo-authored article. She has served her State Association, MdHIMA, as secretary, delegate, president-elect, president, past president, and annual conference chair.  She has also served her National Association, the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), in various capacities. She is currently the editor of Global News for the International Federation of Health Information Management Associations.
