Biography

Dr. Ebuwei is an Assistant Professor at Coppin State University. She holds the credentials of a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), her Doctorate is in Business Administration from UMGC, her master is in Public Health (MPH) with emphasis on health policy and management as well as a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Preparedness, from New York Medical College, and her Bachelor’s degree is from Coppin State University. She has worked in a skilled nursing rehabilitation facility, research institute, and educational institutions. For the past four years, she served as an executive board member for the Maryland Health Information Management Association (MdHIMA), where she was the secretary for three years and also the educational co-chair of the MdHIMA QMB  from 2019 -2020. She also served as a delegate for two years for MdHIMA. Currently, she is a peer reviewer for CAHIIM accrediting body for Health Information Management programs, including Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT). She has also served in various committees with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Dr. Ebuwei recently became a Blackboard Certified Practitioner for Designing and digital teaching. She co-published a peer-reviewed article titled Capacity-Building for Sustainability: A Cooperative K-12 Regional Education Service Provider Case Study
