Ascend HBCU Tour: Gen Z Rise

Leadership Training Experience – Thursday, February 5, 2026

The National Action Network (NAN) is coming to Coppin State University for the Ascend HBCU Tour: Gen Z Rise—a nationwide leadership and empowerment initiative designed to prepare and propel the next generation of HBCU student leaders.

The Ascend HBCU Tour: Gen Z Rise, is offering high impact leadership development workshops, civic engagement training, and faith-inspired dialogue designed specifically for Gen Z students.

NAN Mission Statement

To educate, engage, and activate the next generation of HBCU leaders to rise in purpose, power, and service through faith-inspired leadership, social justice, and civic engagement.

Purpose of the Ascend HBCU Tour

The Ascend HBCU Tour: Gen Z Rise aims to ignite the purpose, power, and potential of emerging leaders on HBCU campuses by merging faith, justice, and civic engagement into an interactive and transformative student experience.

Our program is grounded in the belief that HBCU students—rooted in culture, community, and courage—are uniquely positioned to lead the nation toward justice and transformational change.
