Senior Opportunity Scholarship

The Senior Opportunity Scholarship (SOS) program gives qualifying juniors and seniors the final financial push needed to complete their degree programs and move on to successful careers. Developed by the Coppin Development Foundation Board of Directors in 2011, this program provides scholarships to worthy students who are close to graduation but have exhausted their financial aid.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility considers demonstrated financial need and classification status. Students do not need to formally apply for the SOS program. Instead, students must be identified as eligible for assistance through departmental recommendation or through recommendation from their academic department. In addition, students must also:

  • Be a 2nd semester junior or 1st semester senior
  • Have a minimum 2.2 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
