The Department of Health and Human Performance at Coppin State University makes available several dance education and performance concentrations that focus on dance as culture.
The Dance Program is committed to preparing students for a career in dance education and performance by providing them with an intense program that includes: (1) scholarly inquiries; (2) performance opportunities; (3) choreographic projects; (4) master class workshops; and (5) teaching internships.
The dance faculty consists of artists, educators and scholars who are committed to providing the student with a comprehensive and diverse core training curriculum in dance technique and research.

Registration is held on the 2nd floor of the Physical Education Complex off of the Warwick Avenue rear entrance. Dance classes are held in the Physical Education Complex Dance Studio.
