Senior Opportunity Scholarship (SOS)
Purpose of the Senior Opportunity Scholarship
The purpose of the Senior Opportunity Scholarship (SOS) program is to give qualifying juniors and seniors the final financial push they need to complete their degree programs and move on to successful careers. Developed by the CSU Development Foundation Board of Directors in 2011, this program provides scholarships to worthy students who are close to graduation but have exhausted their financial aid.
Eligibility for consideration is based on demonstrated financial need and classification status. Direct application is not required of students, however, students must be identified as eligible for assistance through departmental recommendation or through recommendation from their academic department.
- Second semester junior, first semester senior
- Minimum GPA: 2.2
- This scholarship is a one-time award and therefore non-renewable.
- Upon consideration, students will be required to provide an unofficial copy of their transcripts, billing statement and a brief statement of need*
- Award payment will be made directly to Coppin State University upon notification.
