Coppin State University (CSU), in coordination with the University System of Maryland (USM) Chancellor’s Office, is conducting a search for CSU’s eighth president. This is an exciting and critical time in CSU’s history to grow its tradition of excellence and grow partnerships with the USM, the City of Baltimore, the State and beyond. Finding the very best person to lead CSU into the future is of the highest priority to the University, its students, faculty, staff and alumni, and we are excited to lead a prestigious team to that end.
We appointed a prestigious and diverse search committee, representative of CSU deans, faculty, and staff, as well as other key stakeholders of CSU and the surrounding community. The Chancellor and search committee members have solicited input from stakeholders through various means, from which the key aspects of the position posting and description were developed. Likewise, this feedback will provide a lens through which the search committee will screen and interview candidates for advancement through the process. We have also retained Academic Search, Inc.—an industry leading search firm—to assist with planning, coordination, and recruitment throughout the process.
We are excited to see what the future holds for CSU and to find the next University leader who will help the Eagles continue to FLY!
