Award-Winning WBAL-TV Producer to Offer Career Strategies

Coppin State University welcomes special guest speaker Jerome Chester.

Coppin State University’s Speech Communication Program will host A Conversation With Jerome Chester, WBAL-TV 11’s Director of Programming and Public Affairs, on Thursday, November 7, 2019.

Chester coordinates WBAL-TV’s College Internship Program and mentors more than a dozen students annually.

Two sessions are scheduled for 9:30-10:50 a.m. and 11:00-12:20 p.m. in the Grace Hill Jacobs Building, room 120. The forum is free to all Coppin students, faculty and staff.

Chester oversees the programming content for both WBAL-TV and MeTV Baltimore. As Public Affairs Director, he serves as the station’s goodwill ambassador for civic engagement.

A Baltimore native, he is a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and studied at the University of Baltimore and Johns Hopkins University.
