Coppin students will award for “How We Can Make the Complicated Easy” competition.

As a part of the ongoing relationship with CareFirst, twelve students, primarily from the College of Business (COB), participated in the inaugural CareFirst Case competition at their Canton location. Each student team was mentored by a member of the CareFirst Black Professionals network and as a member of Senior Management. The task for the teams was to offer a solution as to how CareFirst can better utilize their digital assets to better serve their healthy members.

The team comprised of Jazzleen McRae, Jermaine Jackson, and Alexis Sullivan won the $5000 prize for their solution titled, “How We Can Make the Complicated Easy”.

The case competition is the third activity in the ongoing College Engagement Program between CareFirst and Coppin State University’s College of Business.  The College of Business' on-campus advisor is marketing professor, Dr. Victoria Miller.
