Alumni Association Scholarship

The Coppin State University National Alumni Association (CSUNAA) is pleased to provide financial assistance, on an annual basis, to an enrolled student at Coppin State University. Preference will be given to a child, grandchild or sibling of a Coppin graduate.

Current recipients may apply for renewal of a scholarship provided criteria, including GPA, are met. Alumni Scholarships may not be used to repeat a course. Application must be received by May 31st.

Application Process

Application materials must be received by May 31st of the fall semester of expected enrollment to be considered. The following materials should be submitted:

  1. Complete application form
  2. A typed essay (one page, double spaced) addressing one of the following topics:
    1. Describe an accomplishment you have been recognized for and its influence on you.
    2. What are your career aspirations and why?
  3. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher. (Preference given to students who will be classified as a Junior in the upcoming fall semester.)

Selection Process

Recipients will be selected by the CSUNAA Scholarship Committee based on application materials provided. All scholarship applicants will be notified of the committee's decision no later than one week after the add/drop period. Payment will be made to Coppin State University upon notification and in accordance with the university's scholarship guidelines.
