About Study Abroad

Why Study Abroad?

Going overseas to study will enrich your education. It can be an eye-opening experience, which creates wonderful memories that last a lifetime. An international experience can enhance your prospects for a rewarding career. The U.S. Department of State sees the value of studying abroad in preparing the 21st century workforce.

Who Should Study Abroad?

You should! Majors in all disciplines can find overseas programs that fit their needs. So you can earn credit toward your degree while studying overseas.

When to go?

Junior or sophomore year is often the best time to study abroad. (Some programs don't accept first-year students and CSU requires seniors to complete their final 30 credits here.)

Where to go?

There are study abroad programs in almost every coner of the world. Coppin students are encouraged to explore the exciting programs led by CSU faculty. Students from other universities also are welcome on these CSU programs. CSU students may opt to spend a semester or full year overseas on accredited academic programs run by other universities.
