Application Process

Dear Coppin State University Student:

Thank you for your interest in the Maxie Collier Scholars Program. The primary goal of the Program is to recruit more minority students into the field of mental health. We currently accept students who have declared majors in the natural sciences, nursing, psychology, or social work.

Please read through the requirements for the Program. If you are interested in a career in mental health within the State of Maryland and meet the requirements of the Program, I encourage you to print and return all necessary documents, including:

  • MCSP application
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Your personal statement
  • A copy of your Maryland driver's license or proof of Maryland citizenship
  • The Applicant's Agreement form
  • Signed documentation from your Coppin State University advisor that your application packet has been reveiwed

All application items must be returned to HHSB Room # 522 no later than 5:00 p.m. March 15, 2012. If at any time you have additional questions, please contact me at 410.951.3486. Thank you again for your interest.
