Coppin Family Campaign
As employees, you already give your time and talent for which we are grateful. The Coppin Family Campaign is an opportunity for faculty & staff to further support the mission of Coppin State University by making a contribution in an area of your choice. Employee gifts have a powerful effect on the lives of our students.
Regardless of the amount, a gift of any size makes a difference. Your participation is what counts! Together, our combined contributions matter to students in ways that help them earn their degrees.
We look forward to your continued support!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Coppin Family Campaign?
It's the campus' annual faculty and staff fundraising campaign. Since 2007, gifts to the University from current faculty and staff have totaled over $300,000. This campaign challenges each of us to consider our personal support for Coppin, our students, and the ways we can make a difference above and beyond our daily work.
But I work here! Why would I give to my employer?
For the same reason many of us support our churches and other non-profit organizations—to help fulfill a need that you feel is important. Coppin has fulfilled an important need in the community for over 117 years and requires sustained support from those who believe in our mission. When we as faculty and staff make a gift, it strengthens the case for outside funders to support the University. It's hard to ask the community to support us if we don’t invest in ourselves. It starts with us.
How much am I being asked to give?
You determine your gift amount according to your own charitable interests, your personal willingness to give, and your financial capacity. No gift is too small. Every dollar and every employee counts.
How will my gift be used?
That is up to you! The most popular designation is the Annual Fund but there many other options to choose from. See the full list here.
How do I make a gift?
Thank you for your support! You can make a gift one of the following ways:
- Payroll Deduction: Enroll in a new payroll deduction, continue your deduction or modify a current deduction by visiting https://www.usmd.edu/give/login. Your contributions will be deducted each pay period, and the funds are then distributed to the Foundation monthly. View the payroll deduction tutorial (PDF).
- Check: Make check payable to CSUDF and deliver to the Office of Institutional Advancement, Miles Connor Administration building, 3rd floor.
- Credit Card: Make a gift online
Will I receive a gift receipt for my taxes?
All employee contributions are tax deductible. Gift receipts will be sent out for check and credit card donations. For donors who give by way of payroll deduction, an annual tax statement will be sent in January of the year following the deductions. If at any time you would like to get an accounting of your total contribution, please visit the payroll deduction portal found at this link https://www.usmd.edu/give/login. Please contact Institutional Advancement at x3800 if you have trouble logging in.
