Employee of the Quarter

The Employee of the Quarter Award is designed to recognize Coppin State University (CSU) Faculty and Staff, who go above and beyond by doing one or more of the following:

  • Performance or service above normal duties.
  • Contributing to an outstanding effort which directly benefited the University and its community.
  • Exemplifying the University’s values.
  • Identifying a process improvement.
  • Giving exceptional customer service.

EOQ nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • A Regular or Contingent II employee (Contingent I employees are ineligible.)
  • A minimum of one year of continuous service Work at least thirty (30) hours per week
  • No unexcused absences or disciplinary actions in the past year Satisfactory rating (meets standards or better) on last performance evaluation
  • Stellar performance and/or contributions by the nominee should demonstrate innovation through activities such as customer service, cost savings, productivity, work processes, etc.

Any Coppin State University Faculty or Staff member may nominate an eligible employee for the EOQ.  The EOQ Committee, comprised of faculty and staff, will review the nominations and select a quarterly winner.

Employee of the Quarter accolades include:

  • A $25 CSU One Card deposit
  • The President's Certificate of Appreciation and Award
  • Photograph with the President
  • Eligibility for the Employee of the Year Award
