About the Presenter
Dr. David M. Kopp holds a Ph.D. in Human Resource Development and the Associate Vice-Provost of Extended Learning at Barry University. Dr. Kopp has been in higher education for two decades and prior he was head of Human Resources for two large organizations, one in Los Angeles and the other in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Kopp has worked with both profit and non-profit organizations for over 25 years focusing on leadership development, strategic planning, organizational change and performance improvement. He has published numerous articles and two academic books, the latest in 2018 on the social history of training and development published by Palgrave MacMillan. He has a third book in Human Resource Management due out in 2020.
Dr. Kopp earned the CPLP credential (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) and was Shaquille O’Neal’s doctoral advisor and major professor. He resides in Hollywood, Florida with his wife, Sandra, who is Principal at a private school.
