Lecture by Fulbright Visiting Scholar

Dr. Md. Abdus Subhan, a Fulbright Visiting Scholar of Northeastern University, Boston will be the guest speaker for the Ernest Just/Percy Julian Lecture Series Friday, April 19, 2019, Science and Technology Center (STC) Room 120 at noon. The title of the presentation is “Photocatalysis, Chemical Sensing of Toxins and Anti-bacterial Functions by Nanocomposite Metal Oxides.” Dr. Md. Abdus Subhan joined Torchilin Laboratory, CPBN, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Northeastern University, Boston as Fulbright Visiting Scholar in September 2018.

Md Abdus Subhan received his Ph.D. from Osaka University, Japan. He joined Torchilin Laboratory, CPBN, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Northeastern University, Boston as Fulbright Visiting Scholar in September 2018. His current research includes co-delivery of small molecule drugs and siRNA using immunomicelle based delivery system for MDR cancer, anti-bacterial functions and chemical sensing of toxins by nanocomposite metal oxides. He holds a faculty position at Department of Chemistry at  Shah Jalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), in Sylhet, Bangladesh.

All are encouraged to attend this seminar. Students will learn about how chemical sensing of toxins and antibacterial impact by using Nanocomposite materials.
