From the agony of Africans in America to the triumph in Harlem! With theatre, spirituals, spoken word, dance and song! Honor the past; celebrate the journey; look forward to a new year with resolve.

From the Mayflower to Obama, we, New World Children, have ancestors who more than earned our right and place to be here.  They did it with their blood, sweat and tears, experiencing terror, lynching and death.  They dreamed—dreams that could be fulfilled by their children.  They took their nightmares and turned them into those dreams for future generations.

From trials and tribulations to triumphant celebrations, Africa’s children from the entire world, but especially from the Islands, the South and lower Manhattan, traveled to the center of the Black Universe, our mecca—Harlem—land of opportunity, our Black Renaissance, our place to create the very best in fashion, culture, arts, trends and most of all, intelligence and respect.  Come with us, and you, too, can “Tell Pharaoh.”

Performances will be held Thursday, Friday and Monday, December 8, 9 and 11, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 10 at 3:00 p.m.   Tickets are available at and at the door.  For reservations and additional information, call Dr. Garey A. Hyatt at 410 – 951-3369.  Reservations are recommended.
