Black in the Day Game Day
Black in the Day Game Day is an event to showcase the various games and activities enjoyed by African American as early as the Renaissance period and as late as the 80’s. Card games, board games and Double Dutch jump rope are examples in which life lessons were taught during the activity, a sense of community was built among like-minded individuals, and kinship bonds formed. These activities fostered community serving as a platform for increasing well-being among participants while entertaining and relaxing all members of the families.
