The Dance Major program is open to all students. An audition is not required for entrance into the program however it suggested that you consider taking a class during either the fall or spring semester and/or requesting a private interview with one of the dance faculty members.
Please feel free to contact Professor Vanessa Coles, Coordinator of the Dance Program at firstname.lastname@example.org or 410-951-3355 for a personalized interview time or if you are interested in attending a movement technique class. Please contact at least 2 weeks ahead of time date you are planning on visiting campus.
You may also download a videotape of your previous performances or choreography for the faculty to use as movement placement assessment.
Courses are generally offered during:
Fall Semester Date: August 26-December 10
Spring Semester Date: January 26-May 10
Please note faculty members are generally away from their office completing research and choreographic projects during the semester break including summer months. Therefore, it is in your best interest to contact the dance program during the fall and spring semesters. During another times, please feel free to contact Ms. Robbins at 410-951-4150.
The Dance Program is located in the Physical Education Complex on the 2nd floor near the Dance Studio.
Wishing you the best in your dance career, and the dance faculty is interested in expanding your understanding of Dance as Art and Culture!
