Community Arts Dance Program

Classes begin September 9, 2017
Ages 3 1/2 to Adult
Open Enrollment
Scholarship auditions : August 18 & August 29
7:00 p.m. in the PEC Dance Studio

The program is designed to engage students in various movement techniques ranging from creative ballet our young dancers ages 3 ½ year olds to offering a pre-pointe class for students interested in exploring dance as an art form. Additional class offerings include: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Modern and Hip Hop.

Students are also welcomed to audition for the Coppin State University Youth Dance Company.

Community Arts Contemplative Dance Program
Fall Workshops
New & Seasoned Dancers

The Community Arts Contemplative Dance Program is specifically designed for those interested in exploring dance as a contemplative performing art form. The program offers classes in dance movement, yoga, meditation, and tai chi as well as holistic mind-body workshops such as The Law of Attraction or Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life!

Students are also invited to join Coppin State University Dance Ensemble to hone their performance skills, and register for movement technique classes that focus on improving your skills as an artist-educator.

Community Theatre Arts Program

January 4-January 22, 2016
Middle and high school students
Students are engaged in a 3-week contemporary dance coaching and training program that focuses on professional development opportunities, nutrition, choreography, improving auditioning skills and more! Students must have previous dance training! Internships are available for students. Classes are held on Thursday from 6:00-7:30; Friday from 6:00-7:30 and Saturday 11-12:30 p.m.
