Vision

Coppin State University College of Health Professions Vision Statement
Coppin State University College of Health Professions will be nationally and internationally recognized for educating healthcare professionals as leaders and lifelong learners who demonstrate excellence in scientific inquiry, healthcare innovation and interprofessional collaboration in the promotion of healthy communities while strengthening relationships with local, national and global partners.

Mission

College of Health Professions Mission Statement
The College of Health Professions prepares analytical, socially responsible health care professionals as leaders and lifelong learners who demonstrate excellence in scientific inquiry, healthcare innovation and interprofessional collaboration in the promotion of healthy communities while strengthening relationships with local, national and global partners.

Helene Fuld School of Nursing Mission Statement
The Helene Fuld School of Nursing is committed to providing exemplary education that broadens empowered nursing student’s intellectual and scholarly pursuits while promoting healthy communities and strengthening relationships with local, national and global partners.

School of Allied Health Mission Statement
Through interprofessional collaboration, the School of Allied Health fosters the University's mission of increasing the number of healthcare professionals and scientist focused on the development of leaders, the promotion of healthy communities and strengthening relationships with local, national and global partners.

Strategic Planning 2016-2020

The following CHP, HFSON and SAH goals were developed and/or revised by the Executive Committee and presented to the CHP Faculty and Staff Organization. The College, School and Departmental goals are in alignment with the CSU Strategic Goals 2016-2020.

CSU Goal 1 Enrollment: Enhance the Enrollment Management Enterprise.
CHP Goal 1: Create a coordinated system effort to support student success from the initial point of contact with the university through program completion, employment and alumni relations.
HFSON and SAH Goal 1: Support student success from initial point of contact with the university through program completion, employment and alumni relations.

CSU Goal 2 Academic Transformation: Enhance the academic enterprise to ensure that students learn, graduate in four years or less, and are prepared to succeed in their future careers and other post-graduate opportunities.
CHP Goal 2 Academic Transformation: Transform nursing and allied health curricula by developing competitive program offerings consistent with workforce trends that will impact healthcare beyond 2025.
HFSON and SAH Goal 2: Transform departmental curricula to develop competitive program offerings consistent with workforce trends that will impact healthcare beyond 2025.
