Warmest greetings to fellow alumni and CSU friends,
It is an honor to serve a second term as the President of Coppin State University National Alumni Association (CSUNAA), to work with our university administration, staff, and supporters as the representative of our many CSU alumni. I share this honor with the 2018-2020 CSUNAA Executive Board: Sandra Bell Edmonds ‘69, 1st Vice President; Shaquille Carbon ‘16, 2nd Vice President; Joseph Lewis ‘72, Treasurer; Delnora Kelly ‘06, Recording Secretary; Da’Nai Bennett, Student Representative, VP of SGA, Dijonee Chester ’17, Parliamentarian; Torri Carter ‘99, Sergeant-at-Arms; Elise H. Collier ‘75, Immediate Past President (2014-2016); and Marcia Cephus ‘05, Director, Alumni Affairs.
We are excited about our university and are committed to its mission, vision, and values. Each of us has a story to tell of how Coppin State has impacted our lives and strengthened our stance as lifelong stakeholders in the university and our community. Over the next two years we encourage you to connect and support Coppin State University. There are so many ways to do so: support our annual membership drives, become a life member of the alumni association, attend the many campus events, sign up for alumni emails/news, support the athletic programs, mentor a student, recruit students, tell your story of inspiration, volunteer, and participate in our quarterly alumni meetings.
I ask that you reflect on your time at Coppin and how this institution has allowed you to reach new and exciting heights. Together, we can continue that rich legacy of support and inspiration for others.
It will be a great pleasure to see you at upcoming events, to receive your input, and to share in the continued growth of our illustrious Coppin State University.
In Eagle Pride,
Mary E. Owens-Southall ‘75
