This is a preliminary list of volunteer opportunities. Requests have been made to other nonprofit organizations serving the state of Maryland.


Helping the Homeless with Beyond the Walls Christian Ministries

Date: Sunday, December 9, 2018
Time: 2:00pm–4:00pm (arrive around 1:30pm)
Location: 120 North Font Street (behind the main post office downtown)
Volunteers Needed: unlimited
Fellowship and distribute donations to at least 200 homeless citizens of Baltimore. If you would like to be the alumni office's lead volunteer for this event, please state it in the comments section when you sign up.

Commuter Student Quick Take

Date: Monday, December 10 – Tuesday, December 11, 2018
Time: 5:00pm–8:00pm
Location: Tawes Student Center Commuter Lounge
Volunteers Needed: Fulfilled
Greet students, offer them beverages and cookies before the start of finals, show your support. Three-four volunteers are needed for one hour shifts in HHSB, GJ, and STC buildings.

Coppin State Homecoming Kickoff

Date: Thursday, February 21, 2019
Time: 5:00pm-8:00pm
Location: Horseshoe Casino
Volunteers Needed: 6
Set up decorations, etc., collect tickets/check in guests, greet guests as they enter the event, assist vendors [DJ, photographer], breakdown event.

Coppin State Admissions Spring Open House

Date: Saturday, March 2, 2019
Time: 7:30am–9:45am
Location: Tawes Center
Volunteers Needed: 10
Assist at the Check-in/Registration tables along with an Admissions staffer; tee-shirt distribution tables, mingle with prospective students.

Coppin State 119th Commencement

Date: Wednesday, May 22, 2019
Time: 9:00am-1:00pm/2:00pm-5:00pm
Location: PEC Arena
Volunteers Needed: 30
Assist with ushering and directing guests, handing out programs, assisting alumni reunion class members, other duties as needed. Please include the shift you plan to volunteer.

CSU Concert Committee Crab Feast

Date: Saturday, June 8, 2019
Time: 12:00pm-2:00pm
Location: Columbus Gardens
