Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program

Dear Prospective Student:

The Coppin State University Helene Fuld School of Nursing would like to thank you for your interest in our Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program. Our program is designed to meet the requirements set forth by the Maryland Board of Nursing for both classroom and clinical instruction. Graduates of our program are prepared to take the Geriatric Nursing Assistant Examination. Successful completion of our program can result in a rewarding and sustaining career in healthcare while enabling you to achieve social and economic stability. The faculty of the program is invested in helping you to be successful. The following information is being provided to you to enroll in our next class which begins in September, 2012.

Class Information

This course runs for a period of 12 weeks.
Tuition for the course is $1700.00 (Payment plans available)
Tuition includes the following:

Fee Schedule
Registration -$100 (Submitted with Application)
Initial Deposit- $350 (Due prior to start of 1st class) September 10, 2012
You may make payment arrangements as early as possible that will be deducted from the balance of your tuition. Once the classes have begun, if you have not made any payments, your Initial Deposit- would be $350 (Due prior to start of the 1st class) and your weekly payments would equal - $156.25 over the next 8 weeks (Biweekly payment arrangements are also available).

Registration and Initial Deposit are Non-refundable.

All Payments must be made in the form of a Money Order made payable to CSU Helene Fuld School of Nursing. Cash, Personal Checks or Credit cards will not be accepted.

The Nelson Denny Reading test must be taken by all students prior to enrollment.
All students are required to complete a Background Check and Drug Screen 4 weeks prior to the start of Clinical.

Registration

Registration is currently underway and will continue through Friday, August 17, 2012. The Student Affairs and Retention (STAR) staff is available to assist you through the admissions process.
Your package includes:

  1. Nursing Assistant Admissions Application (Link)
  2. Coppin State University Health Assessment Form. (Due by August 17, 2012)
