Mister & Miss Coppin State University: Daunte' Fyall & Melissa C. Edwards

Miss & Mr. Coppin

Mister Coppin 2008
Mr. Daunte' Fyall is a resident student and a junior Political Science major from Warldorf, Maryland. He was born to Scott A. Stephenson and Helen Fyall. Daunte was the Senator for CSU Thurgood Marshall Club of America. He was also the President of the Inter-Residence Hall Council. Professionally, Daunte would like to be employed by a Fortune 500 Company. Mr. Fyall would also like to start a non-profit foundation geared to the overall improvement and deduction of the percentage of African-Americans who die as a result of Heart Disease.

Miss Coppin 2008
Miss Melissa C. Edwards is a sophomore English major from Brooklyn, NY. She is the only daughter of Patricia and Rolando Edwards. Ms. Edwards is an active member of the Coppin Players. She has performed as Annie in "The Dance on Widow's Row". Ms. Edwards volunteered as a tutor for Coppin Academy High School. Melissa's is the recipient of awards presented by the Honors College and is a Dean's List honoree. Her goal is to obtain a Master's Degree, followed by a PhD, and to later become a screenwriter, editor and high school teacher.



Mister & Miss Blue & Gold: Donte Washington & Linnea Green

Mister Blue & Gold 2008
Mr. Donte' Washington is a junior English/Media Arts major from Temple Hills, Maryland. He was born to Mr. Eric Braxton and Ms. Lolita Roberson. Mr. Washington is the founder of the organization Save Our Youth by Educating and Nurturing (SOYBEAN). His goals are to become a teacher, and later a principle. He would also like to become a member of the Board of Education. Mr. Washington has a vision for creating two schools: one for orphans and one for troubled youth.

Miss Blue & Gold 2008
Miss Linnea Green is a junior Urban Arts major with a minor in Dance from Baltimore, MD. She was born to Cheryl Jordan and Gregory Green. Linnea is an active member of the Coppin Players. She served as the Stage Manager for previous plays, and was an understudy in several performances. Her goals are to be a successful entrepreneur and to further her career in the Arts.



Mister Eagle: Taavon Bazemore

Mr. Taavon Bazemore is a sophomore majoring in Social Work & Rehabilitation Counseling. He is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. He is the son of Ms. Donna Jean Cole and Mr. Taavon Bazemore, Sr. Taavon has actively participated in the Coppin Models Club, the Social Work Association, and currently serves as the President of Coppin's Top Model Organization. His goals include obtaining a Master's Degree in Social Work and becoming a successful entrepreneur opening his own facility.
