The Vice President for Institutional Advancement (VPIA) is the principal administrative officer responsible for: the College’s alumni services; fund-raining; marketing; public relations; design and publication and visual standards; and College photography. The VPIA serves on the Board of Directors for the Coppin State College Development Foundation. Reporting directly to the VPIA are: the Directors of Alumni Affairs, of Grants, Sponsored Programs and Title II, of Corporate Gifts, of Public Relations and Marketing; and the Consultant for Cultural Development.
The Director of Alumni Affairs is responsible for managing the operational and financial activities of the Alumni Affairs component, including the Alumni Annual Fund and Alumni Information Systems Management Offices.
The Director of Grants, Sponsored Programs, and Title III is responsible for monitoring and authorizing budget transfers and expenditures and coordinating proposal submissions; and providing assistance to faculty in developing and maintaining external support sources.
The Director of Corporate Gifts has primary responsibility for the solicitation of funds from private sources, alumni, corporations, foundations, and other individuals; and is also responsible for serving as the liaison between the College and alumni and alumni-related groups throughout the country.
The Director of Public Relations/Marketing is responsible for overseeing and directing public and media relations and public information components. The Director of Public Relations/Marketing also serves as the College spokesperson and provides public relations consultation to the campus community.
