Campus Recreation & Wellness Aquatics offers recreational swim opportunities for members of the CSU community and surrounding community. Our aquatic staff is composed of CSU students.
Enjoy the coolest spot on campus! The Department Campus Recreation & Wellness Aquatics offers diverse programs that provide a safe and fun water experience for all abilities. Whether you're looking to swim laps, participate in Aquatic Safety training classes, improve your swim stroke or do some water jogging, the CRW pool is open year-round to WET your appetite. We encourage those individuals interested in Aquatic Programming to join our aquatics list-serve for email updates about operating schedule changes and general programming information.
Our Aquatics program includes:
Academic courses, Lap/ Recreational swims, Aqua Fitness, Swim Lessons, Intramurals, Club Sports, Special Events and Aquatic Safety Courses.

7:00am - 11:00am (Morning)
12:00pm - 2:00pm (Midday)
4:00pm - 8:00pm (Evenings)
Saturday: 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Participants will learn fundamental aquatic skills, build confidence and endurance, and refine key strokes. This class is available for children as well as adults
This class focuses on flexibility, body conditioning, strength building and cardio-vascular endurance by targeting individual muscle groups. An aerobic workout in the water!! NO swimming skills are necessary, NO fancy shoes or equipment are needed, just a desire to have fun and get into shape!
Aquatic Safety & Leadership – American Red Cross Safety Courses – Offered Spring Semester ONLY
The Aquatics Institute offers various classes for individuals seeking the skills to become a lifeguard. Successful participants must complete these training courses according to the American Red Cross standards.
Aquatics offer Lap Swimming and Recreational Swimming hours throughout each day. Please see below for Lap and Recreational Swimming descriptions.
Lap Swimming Hours - During Lap Swim hours, all at least 4 lanes will be utilized for traditional fitness swimming, including the shallow area.Lap swimming and Recreational Swimming Hours - During Lap and Recreational Swimming hours, at least 2 lanes will remain in the pool to be utilized for traditional fitness swimming. The rest of the pool can be utilized for open, informal recreational swimming, including the shallow area where water basketball will be permitted.
