Two winners selected during November 13, 2013 drawing receive the grand prize of a Microsoft Surface tablet.

The Information Technology Division (ITD) congratulates Tiyana Hodges and Alice Wright as the winners of the Microsoft Surface grand prize. The Coppin State University students entered the drawing during their attendance at TechMania and Tech@Nite - events that featured free information on campus technology resources such as EagleMobile, Blackboard and Office 365.

Surface Winners

Tiyana Hodges, Freshman
Urban Arts Major

"TechMania was very fun. I didn't know there were so many people here to help technology-wise. Technology is changing every day and it is hard to keep up with it. This is my first time actually winning a prize in a raffle so I am very excited to win this. I actually didn't even know what a Microsoft Surface was until I googled it."

Alice Wright, Master's Program
Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement

"I attended the Tech@Nite event and was astounded at the knowledge taught and how Coppin was very up-to-date on providing its students with newfound information on how to access the school's blackboard site and other functions. I never win anything so this was very exciting!"
