Summer Bridge program known as SASA welcomes the Class of 2016
Coppin State University just completed the third year of its
summer bridge program, Summer Academic Success Academy (SASA). A free,
comprehensive, six-week summer residential program, SASA is designed to assist
direct-from-high school students in getting a jump start on their college
career.
SASA aims to help incoming freshmen make the transition from
high school to college while earning college credits. SASA students complete
college courses, attend college success workshops and tutoring, and participate
in social and leadership activities. This highly structured experience allows
freshmen students to experience the expectations and rigors of college prior to
the fall term. Students will have the opportunity to connect with faculty,
staff, and peer mentors who will guide them through their transition. SASA
provides freshmen an introduction to the academic, social, and recreational
resources of the campus community.
