The Accounting Club is a student-run organization for students interested in careers in accounting. Students interact with one another and other accounting students from other Colleges and Universities. Through their affiliations with professional organizations such as the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accounts (MACPA), National Institute of Accountants (NIA) and the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), students build job contacts and future networks with CPA's and other professionals, get acquainted with changes in the profession and learn corporate culture. Resume writing, job search, dress for success, dinning etiquette, interviewing techniques, etc. are some of the workshops offered by the Club.
Students in the Accounting Club participate in the NABA Annual Accounting Case Competition. They also participate in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistant Program (VITA) and tax counseling for the elderly.

Any student enrolled at Coppin State University (day, evening, part-time or full-time) may apply for membership in the Society regardless of major. Society members try to enhance the Management Science program by setting up scholarship funds, organizing an annual "We Mean Business Day"' and inviting guest speakers to the campus.
