Criteria for Scholars
Maxie Collier Scholars Program

Criteria for Scholars
  1. State of Maryland citizen
  2. Officially enrolled as a CSU Freshman or Sophomore and can spend a minimum of two years in the Program.
  3. 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
  4. Declared major in nursing, pre-med, psychology, or social work
  5. Stated commitment to fulfill the undergraduate level requirements of an individualized professional training curriculum plan with a mental health focus
  6. Stated commitment to pursue a career in mental health in the State of Maryland Mental Health System
  7. Excellent or above average performance rating by instructors in the required mental health seminar- Emerging Issues in Mental Health and Well Being
  8. High rating in a required personal interview, and on a required personal statement
  9. Three letters of support from recommended sources
  10. Official college transcript
