In addition to criteria set forth by the School of Graduate Studies, the GRE, an interview, and successful completion of Praxis I are required for admission to the M.A.T. Candidates must achieve the passing Praxis I scores set forth by MSDE for Mathematics (177), Reading (177) and Writing (173) or achieve a composite score of 527.
The program is designed for individuals holding a degree in arts and sciences and persons interested in changing careers. Candidates are encouraged to study their discipline broadly and in depth as they prepare to become professionals in the field of education. Previous experience or training in education is not required.
