Recruitment/Admissions
  • The Recruitment and Admissions module help us plan, manage and track admissions and recruitment activities far better than the current legacy SIS system.
  • Prospective students will be able to apply to CSU on-line, review any pending applications requirements etc., and check on the status of their application.
  • Admissions counselors can also set up and tailor admissions requirements and processing by academic programs incorporating separate evaluation criteria, calculations, and admissions policies thus helping recruitment, retention and enrollment efforts at the college.
  • With the new system, the admissions department can analyze recruitment efforts from the past and verify the yield, and re-allocate resources to feeder sources to maximize application and enrollment ratios.
  • The web enabled PeopleSoft ERP solution, can also be used by recruitment officers as a “recruitment tool” while on the road to showcase access and services provided to the Coppin students.
Academic Advisement
  • PeopleSoft Academic Advisement allows us to automate many routine time-consuming tasks associated with degree tracking and auditing here at Coppin.
  • The capability to support a high degree of application-customized individual plans of study and assess them in terms of degree progress will help in improving retention and graduation rates.
Student Records
  • PeopleSoft Student Records gives the administration the ability to store, organize, and automate a vast amount and variety of student information.
  • With Student Records, we will minimize repetitive data, streamline processing of courses, class, and requisite information, and provide up-to-date summaries of student statistics, facility occupancy, and class section availability.
  • Students will be able to access the registration process to register, check their status on the “wait list”, enroll and make payments on the web.
  • On the Internet, faculty can review their class rosters from anywhere, post assignments and comments, and submit grades.
  • Students can be empowered to maintain their demographic information.
  • With increased use of web technology, students and staff will have 24/7 access to information, thus reducing walk-ins and phone calls to the administrative offices.
Financial Aid
  • PeopleSoft Financial Aid is a far more flexible, easy-to-use system than the current system and provides instant access to student financial information, while keeping the data secure.
  • The easily adaptable Financial Aid system can be configured to meet any unique rules and practices of Coppin State University.
  • The system has the capability to automate the matching of financial aid sources with eligible students, which will speed up awarding process.
  • CSU will benefit from automated processing of third-party grants and loans, including PELL grants, and the Federal Family Educational Loan Program.
  • Financial aid officers will have the ability to monitor and control financial aid awards budget. With the capability to do “what if’s”, the financial aid officer can better administer the financial aid award budget.
  • The PeopleSoft Financial Aid system will give students the ability to apply for aid on-line, check their award status, and verify and submit missing documents via the web.
Student Financials
  • PeopleSoft Student Financials provide maximum flexibility in tracking student disbursements, charges, and payments, which will enable us to better serve Coppin students.
  • With Student Financials, we can use a variety of criteria to assess tuition, automatically post charges to student accounts, expand collection capabilities, and easily monitor all student-related activity.
  • With the Internet access, Students can check their obligation and make payments on the web according to their convenience, thus reducing the need to come to the cashier’s booth in person.
Campus Community
  • Campus Community is the hub of the Student Administration solution.
  • With Campus Community, we can manage and maintain a wide range of demographic and biographic information on people and organizations at Coppin.
  • Checklists enable us to track activities for prospects, students, and employees.
  • Ability to target students and communicate specific messages will help improve retention and enrollment efforts at Coppin.
