Access 2002 (XP): Intermediate (ACC301)
Full Class
Prerequisites: Students enrolling in this class should have a basic level of understanding of the Access 2000 interface, and should have experience designing tables, simple queries, forms, and reports. To ensure your success, it is recommended you first take the following classes or have equivalent knowledge: Windows XP: Introduction, Microsoft Access 2002: Introduction.

This class will introduce students to the skills needed for creating, revising, and customizing the design of tables, queries, forms, reports, command buttons and basic macros.


Intermediate Outlook 2000 (FY00-047)

Intermediate Word 2000 (FY00-033)

Prerequisites: Introduction to MS Word 2000 or equivalent knowledge

This is a hands-on training sessions. Attendees will learn to increase their word processing skills by mastering indents, tabs, using the find and replace feature to find and replace text and codes, applying border and shading, adding page borders. This session will also cover formatting pages, working with page setup, creating headers and footers, and section breaks. This session will also cover creating and formatting textbox, text rotation, and create and modify WordArt, clipart, auto shapes, and 3-D effects. Attendees will also cover such features such as: Customizing a toolbar (removing and adding buttons to a toolbar). Creating your own toolbar, adding icon buttons. Attendees will also learn to create and format tables, apply AutoFormat to tables. Attendees will also create and make use of document templates (letterhead and/or memorandum).


Using Outlook for E-Mail –2000 (FY00-050)

Prerequisites: Introduction to Windows 95, 98 or equivalent knowledge

This is a hands-on training session. Attendees will learn how to communicate electronically by reviewing, replying, and sending e-mail messages and file attachments. Create personal folders. Create and establish default electronic signature and stationary. Attendees will also learn the basics of scheduling functions including: Navigating and managing your calendar, adjusting your schedule, planning a meeting, responding to a meeting request. Customizing the Outlook [displaying a notification message, when new mail arrives, startup folder, spell options, etc.] Assigning delegate permission to Outlook folders.

Introduction to Windows XP (100)
Mini Class
Prerequisites: Basic computer knowledge, keyboarding skills, and prior Windows experience/exposure

Students will organize files, create an efficient work environment, clean up their system and desktop, and find information, etc., customize the Start menu, view files/folders in different views, group objects, search for files, folders, printers, etc., use Remote Assistance, activate and customize the Microsoft Outlook
