The capstone course is a one-semester, three (3) credit course required of all students pursuing a major in the Interdisciplinary Studies Program. This course is designed to be a culminating educational and practical experience. It embraces a self-directed, integrated, learning opportunity for students pursuing an interdisciplinary degree. Students will demonstrate learning across the curriculum leading to employability and the potential for career advancement. Students are required to develop a research paper or creative project to be presented at the final oral examination. Topics should be selected that clearly demonstrate an integration of respective concentrations. This course should be taken during the last semester of enrollment at Coppin State University.
