Orientation Overview

New Student Orientation is a program designed for new and transfer students in preparation for the upcoming school year. All resident students are required to stay in the residence halls during the New Student orientation program.

Students who participate in orientation will be better prepared to begin their academic career at Coppin State University. During this Program, we will answer your questions about academic, social and logistical matters before classes begin on January 25, 2017. Orientation is mandatory for all first year and transfer students, and registration may take place online only.

Before attending orientation, students should have already contacted University College First Year Experience at (410) 951-3057 or (410) 951-3508 to schedule an appointment for the placement test. Students will also become familiar with the academic and career resources available at Coppin State University, including degree requirements and the advisement process. Students will have opportunity to meet their advisors, representatives from the various Schools and Colleges, upperclassmen and Coppin Alum and many faculty, staff and administrators who can assist them with their journey through college.
