Merit Awards

Gold Freshman Merit Award

Requirements: First-time, full-time freshman, 950 or better combined SAT score, cumulative 2.5 or higher high school GPA, successful completion of Coppin's placement exam (no more than one refresher course required)

Award: $2000 per year, renewable for up to 8 semesters

Blue Freshman Merit Award

Requirements: First-time, full-time freshman; 900 or better combined SAT score; cumulative 2.5 or higher high school GPA; successful completion of Coppin's placement exam (no more than one refresher course required)

Award: $1000 per year, renewable for up to semesters

Gold Transfer Merit Award

Requirements: Full time student; community college transfer student; successful completion of at least 56 credits; 2.8 cumulative or higher GPA 

Award: $1500 per year, renewable for up to 4 semesters

Blue Transfer Merit Award

Requirements: Full-time student; community college transfer student; successful completion of at least 25 credits; cumulative 2.5 or higher GPA

Award: $800 per year, renewable for up to 6 semesters
