View pages in this section

The Major in Social Sciences provides a comprehensive analytical perspective for understanding human social interaction and social dynamics. This is a very solid foundation for students entering a variety of graduate and professional fields (Law, Urban Planning, Social Work, Public Health, Human Services Administration, Public Policy, etc.). Graduates entering the workforce with the Bachelors degree in Social Science are prepared for a variety of administrative responsibilities in business and government.

They may participate in managerial training programs in public or private agencies or serve as research assistants for scientific or marketing programs. Social Sciences majors are employed in a wide range of Human Services in such areas such as education, social services, youth services, counseling, community development and labor relations.
