While we cannot guarantee your request for a particular roommate will be honored, we do welcome them. Please note that any agreement made between 2 or more persons to be roommates is between those persons. If for whatever reason one of these students decides to request a change in their assignment at a later date, they may do so with or without notifying the persons they had promised to live with. Residence Life cannot require students to honor agreements to be roommates, which were made between students.

All roommate requests must be mutual, that is, your requested roommate must also have your name and signature on his/her application. Students cannot apply for a room for their roommate. Each student must be present in order to reserve a room. Putting your requested roommate's name on your application does not reserve a room for him/her. He/she must apply in person for a room, at the time of room reservation.

Failing to take part in this process could result in you being without an assignment for the Fall semester, as once this process is completed all remaining spaces will be immediately assigned to new incoming students. Students occupying a room without a roommate or whose roommate leaves, will be notified as soon as possible of the new person assigned to the room.
