9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Tawes Center on the Saturday or Sunday before the start of arena registration. All students must have their bills validated indicating that satisfactory financial arrangements for payment of bills have been made. No student will be allowed to check into the Residence Hall without proper bill validation. There will be no exception to this policy.
9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Tawes Center and 1p.m. to 5 p.m. in the residence hall for those with validated bills on the Saturday or Sunday before the start of arena registration. Once your bill has been validated present it to the Housing and Residence Life staff member present in the Tawes Center. Once bill validation is proven you will receive a Key Authorization Form to take with you to the Residence Hall. No student will be allowed to check into the Residence Hall without a Key Authorization Form. There will be no exception to this policy.
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Before going to the residence hall take your validated bill and key authorization to the Office of Public Safety so that you can get you new validated Identification (ID) card for the new (just starting) semester.
Once you have validated your bill and your ID you can now take your Key Authorization Form to the Residence Hall. Present the key authorization form a long with your validated ID to the check-in station in the residence hall and proceed with completing your check-in process at which time you will receive your room key, access card and complete some additional documentation.
Students who have secured key authorization forms will be allowed to check in to the residence hall between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Check in ends promptly at 5 p.m. No student will be allowed to check into the Residence Hall after 5 p.m. There will be no exception to this policy. If you arrive after 5 p.m. it will be your responsibility to make alternative housing arrangements (eg. Hotel/motel) until 9 a.m. the next morning.
If you do not check into your room by 5:00 p.m., on the fifth day after the start of check in, and have not contacted the Office of Residence Life to arrange a late arrival check in, you may lose your housing space to a student on the waiting list. If for any reason you have changed your mind and are not planning to live on campus, please notify us in writing immediately. This would prevent you from receiving billing and cancellation penalties.
Please Note That It Is Your Responsibility To Ensure That All Check In Requirements Are Met. Failure To Meet These Requirements Can Result In You Not Being Allowed To Check Into The Residence Hall.
